As industrial components and tools face increasingly complex service environments, the performance changes of material surfaces under high-temperature conditions are drawing growing attention. Hardness, a key indicator of a material’s resistance to deformation, changes significantly as temperature rises. ZONEDE Instruments introduces its High-Temperature Vickers Hardness Tester, capable of precise temperature control within ±1°C from room temperature up to 1200°C. This enables researchers and materials engineers to realistically evaluate the thermal stability and service performance of materials under high-temperature working conditions.
Real High-Temperature Environment, Accurate Hardness Data
Traditional hardness testing is performed only at room temperature and cannot reflect a material’s mechanical behavior under actual high-temperature service conditions. ZONEDE’s High-Temperature Vickers Hardness tester integrates a high-temperature system into a conventional hardness tester, simulating various service temperatures and delivering real data on how material hardness changes with temperature. This provides more valuable experimental evidence for laboratory research and material production.
Advanced Heating and Insulation System for Long-Term Stable Operation
The heating elements use molybdenum disilicide (MoSi₂) to ensure temperature stability under high-temperature environments. The furnace insulation lining is made of polycrystalline mullite ceramic fiber, offering excellent heat insulation, good durability, easy installation, and maintenance. A thermal barrier coating is applied to the inner side of the stainless steel furnace body, further improving insulation performance. Additionally, the system includes a constant-temperature cooling water chiller (max. 40°C) for water-cooling protection, ensuring long-term safe and reliable operation.
Fully Automatic Testing, Efficient Data Export
This high-temperature hardness tester supports a fully automatic testing process. After testing, it directly generates hardness curves and exports reports, greatly improving testing efficiency in laboratories and production sites. The precision movable worktable enables multi-point hardness measurement, supports hardness gradient analysis along the depth direction of carburized or nitrided layers, and automatically generates hardened-layer depth curves. It is ideal for in-depth research on ceramics, superalloys, composites, and other materials.
Inert Gas Atmosphere Module – Prevents High-Temperature Oxidation
For high-temperature hardness testing of easily oxidized materials, avoiding interference from oxide layers is essential. ZONEDE offers an inert gas atmosphere module, which uses a sealed chamber and gas purification system to create a closed working environment. Argon or nitrogen is introduced to circulate and remove reactive species, keeping the system in a high-purity, high-cleanliness inert gas atmosphere. Water and oxygen levels can be kept below 0.1 ppm, and with an extremely low leakage rate design, the sample remains oxidation-free during high-temperature heating, ensuring true material hardness data.
Wide Applicability – Supporting R&D and Production
This high-temperature Vickers hardness testing system accommodates samples up to Φ15×10 mm, making it suitable for hardness testing of ceramics, superalloys, composites, and other materials at elevated temperatures. Whether for university research, academic paper data collection, or corporate R&D projects and production process control, ZONEDE provides customized high-temperature hardness testing solutions.
ZONEDE High-Temperature Vickers Hardness Tester – combining precise temperature control, stable heating, oxidation protection, and fully automatic testing – offers a reliable platform for evaluating high-temperature hardness in materials science and engineering.
