Products Detail

Single-Stage Light Gas Gun(ZD-I-LGG-50)

The ZD-I-LGG-50 Single-Stage Light Gas Gun is a compressed gas-driven impact testing system designed for high-velocity impact testing and dynamic material response research. Using compressed air, nitrogen, helium, or other inert gases as the driving medium, the system achieves impact velocities from 50 to 800 m/s, providing a safe, reliable, and cost-effective solution for dynamic testing applications.

Core Positioning

The system is widely used to investigate the dynamic behavior of materials and structures under high strain-rate loading, supporting research in aerospace, protective engineering, civil engineering, and advanced materials.

Typical Applications

Core Positioning

High strain-rate material characterization,
Impact and penetration mechanics research

Core Positioning

 Bird strike simulation,
High-velocity impact and protective structure evaluation,

Key Features

Safe and Reliable Operation

Powered by compressed air or inert gases, the system eliminates the safety risks associated with traditional impact launching systems. Multiple protection mechanisms—including pressure-resistant safety enclosure, safety interlocks, emergency stop, and automatic pressure relief during power failure—ensure safe operation in university laboratories, research institutes, and protective engineering facilities.

Accurate and Stable Performance

Impact velocity is continuously adjustable with measurement accuracy of ±1%. The vacuum target chamber minimizes aerodynamic drag, while the wear-resistant launch barrel and optimized loading process provide stable system performance and highly repeatable test results.

Flexible Experimental Configuration

The system supports both manual and remote programmable operation. The adjustable platform allows flexible test setup and can be integrated with high-speed cameras, force sensors, pressure sensors, strain gauges, and other diagnostic instruments for synchronized impact testing.
